What setup requirements do I need before launch?

Updated 2026-07-14

Before launch, complete the setup items that affect payments, payouts, taxes, checkout, and customer access.

1. Open Settings -> General and finish the business profile. Add the legal business name, business address, business phone, account representative name, date of birth, email, phone, residential address, SSN last 4, EIN when applicable, time zone, currency, weight unit, market segment, and store access setting.

2. Open Settings -> Payments and finish payment setup. Accept the connected account agreement, complete any Stripe identity or business requirements, add a bank payout account, and resolve any currently due, past due, or errored requirements before taking live payments.

3. Open Settings -> Taxes before selling in taxable regions. Add your origin address, enable the tax provider when you are ready, sync or add registrations for the states or countries where you are registered, and review product tax codes for special categories.

4. Open Settings -> Domains if you are using a custom domain. Add the domain, update the DNS records shown in the admin, then wait for the domain health check to show the domain is connected and secure.

5. Review shipping, pickup, delivery, return, and contact details so customers know what to expect after purchase.

6. Run a test checkout from the storefront. Confirm the product, shipping method, tax line, payment method, confirmation email, and order record all look correct.

If the admin shows a setup requirement, finish that item first. It is safer to pause launch than accept orders with missing payout, tax, domain, or checkout configuration.
